The emphasis of the classes and workshops will be on DRAWING. Students will enjoy the creative experience of drawing, and build a stronger base for their art. Several methods and techniques of drawing will be introduced and practiced, including exploring and experimenting with different tools, materials and media. It will be conducted in a fun and non-confronting environment that will ENHANCE, INSPIRE and bring out the ARTIST within. See Registration Form for dates.

A fun-filled week of ART MAKING with an emphasis on exploring and expressing one's own INDIVIDUAL CREATIVITY. Youth will learn drawing techniques and styles, paint and collage on canvas, play with watercolors, ink and pastels, learn about journaling and make personalized magnets. Art supplies, canvas, sketchbook and snack included. Students must bring their own lunches.

This 10 day workshop will cover much of the beautiful island of Bali. We will travel the island to experience the beaches of Sanur in the South, island of Nusa Lembongan, the cultural capital of Ubud in the center of the country and the northern mountains and the black volcanic sand near the village of Tejakula. Bali is a mecca of pleasure for all the senses; the lingering scent of incense, delicate sound of the music, lush green rice fields and warmth of the gentle nature of the people will be inevitable influences in students' art. It is a peaceful, tranquil and gentle little island that will be sure to light your creative fires. In the 10 day drawing and acrylic painting program, Kate and Michelle will teach different techniques that increase skills and encompass the inspiring culture and images of Bali.

This is a particularly lovely area in the mountains of Liguria for those who like to hike. The area is medieval and very rural, gorgeous and peaceful. Claude Monet lived in Bordighera for 6 months and painted the Dolceacqua medieval bridge twice, in varying lights.
Transportation Note: Nice, France, is the closest airport. We will pick up students in Nice airport or Ventimiglia train station.
